Abstract
Proučavanje valova temeljno je za razumijevanje velikog spektra prirodnih pojava, od mreškanja na površini jezera do vibracija glazbenih instrumenata te elektromagnetskih valova koji se šire svemirom. Svi ovi valovi se opisuju jednom jednadžbom, ako riješimo jedan od problema možemo primjetni tehnike rješavanja ne druge probleme. Podatke radimo sami, tj. odredenim bojama označimo piksele koje želimo da budu rubni ili početni uvjeti. Program rješava 2d valnu jednadžbu što znači da zanemarujemo silu otpora i pretpostavljamo da val ne može transmitirati kroz granicu. Rješenja se ponašaju kao valovi i pokazuju sva svojstva koja imaju valovi.
Abstract (english)
The study of waves is fundamental to understanding a wide range of natural phenomena, from ripples on the surface of lakes to the vibrations of musical instruments and electromagnetic waves that spread through space. If we solve one of the problems, we can apply the techniques for solving other problems. We create the data ourselves, i.e. we color code the pixels that we want to be the boundary or initial conditions. The program solves the 2D wave equation, which means that we ignore the drag force and assume that the wave cannot transmit through the boundary. The solutions behave like waves and exhibit all the properties that waves have.
