Abstract
U svrhu poučavanja nove definicije kilograma, nadogradnjom stare laboratorijske vage, izrađen je demonstracijski prototip Kibbleove vage. U odnosu na LEGO vagu, ova vaga radi tako da zavojnice miruju, a magneti se gibaju pri čemu se brzina magneta mjeri praćenjem gibanja laserskog spota pomoću programa Tracker. Rad vage u modu brzine uspješno je opisan i analiziran pomoću modela prisilnog titranja gušenog harmonijskog oscilatora. Pogreška mjerenja iznosi oko 1,5 %, a razlučivost oko 1 mg. Vaga može odlično poslužiti kao vježba za praktikum iz moderne fizike u kojoj se koncepti opće fizike nadovezuju na složenije koncepte moderne fizike i tehnike mjerenja.
Abstract (english)
In order to teach about the new definition of kilogram a demonstration prototype of the Kibble balance was made, by modifying an old laboratory scale. Compared to the LEGO scale, this scale works so that the coils are at rest and the magnets move, whereby the speed of the magnets is measured by tracking the movement of the laser spot using the Tracker program. The operation of the balance in velocity mode has been successfully described and analyzed using a model of forced oscillation of a damped harmonic oscillator. The measurement error is about 1.5% and the resolution about 1 mg. Scale can serve well as an exercise for a practicum in modern physics in which the concepts of general physics build on the more complex concepts of modern physics and measurement techniques.
