Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je upoznavanje s osnovnim fenomenima nelinearne optike kao što su generiranje drugog i trećeg harmonika, te generiranje sume frekvencija. Opisana je i veza linearne i nelinearne optike, susceptibilnosti i polarizacije. Nelinearni procesi imaju mnoge primjene u znanosti i medicini, te se u budućnosti očekuje značajan napredak u ovoj grani fizike.
Abstract (english)
The goal of this thesis is to explain the basic processes of nonlinear optics, such as second and third harmonic generation and sum-frequency generation. It also describes the link between linear and nonlinear optics, susceptibility and polarization. Nonlinear optics have many practical applications in science and medicine, and the field is expected to rapidly grow in the future.
