Abstract
U radu je analizirano 70 jedinki s područja istočnog Jadrana i opisane su morfometrijske i merističke osobine. Morfometrijske osobine su izmjerene pomoću ihtiometra i pomične mjerke. Ukupna dužina analiziranih jedinki kretala se u rasponu od 12,7 do 16,1 cm. Proučavane su promjene dužina morfometrijskih osobina ribe u odnosu na promjenu ukupne tjelesne dužine i u svim slučajevima se pokazao linearan odnos. Merističke osobine su bile: D1 = VII / VIII; D2 = I + 8; A = II + 6; V = I + 5; P = 15 – 17. Rezultati pokazuju da se populacija trlje blatarice iz Jadrana po merističkim osobinama značajno ne razlikuje od populacija trlje blatarice iz Crnog i Sredozemnog mora.
Abstract (english)
In the present study, morphometric and meristic characteristics of 70 specimens of red mullet, Mullusbarbatus(Linneaus,1758) were analysed. Specimens were taken from the Eastern Adriatic. Morphometric characteristics were measured by using measuring bord for fish and caliper. The total length of the observed fish ranged from 12,7 - 16,1 cm. The rate of growth of different body parts of the fish in relation to its total length is studied. The length of each body part and the total lenght of the fish were found to be a straight line in logarithmic scales. Meristic characteristics were: D1 = VII / VIII; D2 = I + 8; A = II + 6; V = I + 5; P = 15 – 17. This study has shown that there are no significant differences in meristic characteristics between analysed population of red mullet from the Adriatic Sea and populations from Black and Mediterranian Sea.
