Abstract
Ovaj se rad bavi mikroemulzijama bez prisutnosti surfaktanta te se sastoji od nekoliko tehnika koje su korištene za proučavanje navedenih sustava. Ovaj ternarni sustav istražen je kao razvoj takozvane „zelene kemije“ i zamjena za mnoga otrovna otapala koja se danas koriste. Ovakvi sustavi pokazuju i poboljšanu topljivost hidrofobnih spojeva u usporedbi s nizom komercijalnih otapala. U ovom je radu kroz konduktometriju, dinamičko raspršenje svijetlosti te mjerenje napetosti površine proučavano jednofazno područje trokomponentnog sustava voda-etanol-1-heptanol, odnosno postojanje i veličina agregata koji u njemu nastaju.
Abstract (english)
This work describes surfactant-free microemulsions and contains several techniques that have been used to study such peculiar systems. This ternary system was investigated in light of the so-called “green Chemistry” as a replacement for many toxic solvents used today. Systems like this also show improved solubility of hydrophobic compounds compared to a range of commercial solvents. Here, a single-phase region of the three-component system water-ethanol-1-heptanol, was explored by conductometry, dynamic light scattering, and surface tension measurements to identify existence and size of the resulting aggregates.
