In this paper, the idea of tangible programming is discussed as a way to easily familiarize children with basics of programming. In order to define the problem that tangible programming is addressing it is necessary to know the problems that beginners in programming have. In this paper, a review of these problems is given as well as many ways that researchers and scientists have come to address these problems, it has been shown that incorporating technologies such as mobile devices and augmented reality in teaching can increase intrinsic motivation for students and increase the amount of their active participation in learning. By analyzing the existing solutions in the field of tangible and visual programming and the existing technological possibilities that enable us to implement new solutions more easily, in the practical part of the paper prototype solution that integrates the advantages of physical elements of tangible programming and virtual elements of augmented reality is described.
