Abstract
Možda niste veliki obožavatelj natjecanja Formule 1, možda Vas ne zanima kako Vaš automobil vozi, glavno da vozi, no teško je poreći da je cijeli taj sklop fascinantan i gotovo uvijek besprijekorno radi. Ovdje ćemo se dotaknuti jedne bitne stvari kod svakog vozila, a to je njegovo upravljanje. Nećemo se baviti ˝svakodnevnim˝ vozilom, nego ćemo analizirati kako se upravlja jednim bolidom, no ideja je ista. Bolid o kojem će biti riječ su samostalno osmislili i izradili studenti iz udruge UPS (Udruga primijenjenog strojarstva). Pogledat ćemo što sve utječe na način na koji se vozilo ponaša tijekom vožnje, te kako istu poboljšati. Konkretno ćemo se pozabaviti upravljanjem bolida, tj. na koji način prilagoditi vozilo vozaču i stazi . Na kraju ćemo odraditi proračun tzv. letve volana. Promjenama na letvi volana će se vozaču omogućiti efikasno kretanje po stazi uz relativno mali napor i manje zakretanje volana.
Abstract (english)
Maybe you’re not a big fan of Formula 1, maybe you don’t care how your car drives as long as it does, but it can’t be denied that it is a fascinating piece of machinery. In this thesis we will discuss one important thing about every vehicle, and that is its steering. We won’t be considering any ˝ordinary˝ vehicle, we will analyse a racing car, but still concepts are the same. This particular race car was designed and constructed from ground up, by students of the UPS (Association of Applied Mechanical Engineering) association. We will take a look at all the key factors of a steering system and suspension and what effect they have on the driving feel, but also the way we could improve them. Our focus is going to be on the steering and its adaptation to the driver and the track. In the end we will adapt the steering rack, via calculation, so it’s relatively easy to drive with small steering inputs.
