Abstract
Kvantna računala nastaju na raskrižju primjene računalne znanosti, kvantne fizike i matematike, pri čemu korištenjem osnovnih kvantnomehaničkih svojstava nastoje proširiti naše računalne horizonte. Cilj ovog rada je objasniti osnovne principe kvantnog računanja te na primjeru jednog od fundamentalnih kvantnih algoritama, Deutschovog algoritma, objasniti prednosti kvantnog računanja. Dan je i kratki prikaz praktičnih primjena kvantnih algoritama te statusa razvoja kvantnih računala.
Abstract (english)
Quantum computers are being created at the at the intersection of computer science, mathematics and physics. Using the basic properties of quantum mechanics they strive to broaden our computational horizons. This thesis explains the basic principles of quantum computing and using the example of one of the foundational algorithms in quantum computing, Deutsch's alghorithm, explains the advantages of quantum computing. This thesis also outlines the practical applications of quantum algorithms and the status of the development of quantum computers.
