Abstract
Rod Veronica predstavlja najbrojniji rod unutar porodice Plantaginaceae. Zbog velike sposobnosti adaptacije ove vrste uspijevaju na velikom broju raznolikih staništa. Pet vrsta roda Veronica opisanih u ovom radu rastu na otvorenim, stjenovitim, sunčanim ili suhim područjima. Hidrolati ili cvjetne vodice, nastaju kao nusprodukti tijekom procesa dobivanja eteričnih ulja. Često se koriste u kozmetici, prehrambenoj industriji i aromaterapiji zbog svojih pozitivnih učinaka te antibiotskih i antimikrobnih svojstava. Za izolaciju i određivanje masene koncentracije hlapljivih spojeva izoliranih u hidrolatima primijenjene su metode hidrodestilacije u aparaturi po Clevengeru i metoda mikrovalne ekstrakcije.
Abstract (english)
The genus Veronica represents the most numerous genus within the Plantaginaceae family. Due to their high adaptability, these species thrive in a wide variety of habitats. Five species of the genus Veronica described in this paper grow in open, rocky, sunny, or dry areas. Hydrosols or floral waters are produced as byproducts during the process of obtaining essential oils. They are often used in cosmetics, the food industry, and aromatherapy due to their positive effects and antibiotic and antimicrobial properties. Hydrodistillation in Clevenger apparatus and microwave-assisted-extraction methods were applied for the isolation and determination of the mass concentration of volatile compounds extracted in hydrosols.
