Abstract
Testiranje softvera ima ključnu ulogu u razvoju projekta, osiguravajući besprijekornu funkcionalnost uz smanjenje pogrešaka. U današnjem tehnološkom krajoliku koji se brzo razvija, nedovoljna provjera softvera može dovesti do ozbiljnih posljedica. Automatizirano testiranje podrazumijeva korištenje specijaliziranih alata i skripti za ispitivanje softverskih aplikacija. Testne skripte automatiziraju različite aspekte testiranja softvera, dajući precizne upute za određene platforme za provjeru ishoda i značajki. Ovaj je pristup postao istaknut zbog kompliciranosti softverskih sustava, uspona web aplikacija, osobnog računalstva i arhitekture klijent-poslužitelj, zajedno s povećanom potražnjom za web aplikacijama zbog dominiranja interneta i tehnologije oblaka. Moderne metodologije razvoja softvera, kao što su DevOps i Agile, naglašavaju potrebu za bržim i učinkovitijim procesima testiranja. Ovaj rad završava s praktičnim primjerom testiranja web aplikacije napravljene pomoću React JS biblioteke koristeći Selenium IDE i Cypress alata za testiranje.
Abstract (english)
Software testing plays a key role in project development, ensuring flawless functionality while reducing errors. In today's fast-paced technology environment, insufficient software verification can lead to serious consequences. Automated testing involves the use of specialized tools and scripts for testing software applications. Test scripts automate various aspects of software testing, providing precise instructions for specific platforms to verify outcomes and features. This approach has become prominent due to the complexity of software systems, the rise of web applications, personal computing, and client-server architecture, along with the increased demand for web applications due to the dominance of the Internet and cloud technology. Modern software development methodologies, such as DevOps and Agile, emphasize the need for faster and more efficient testing processes. This paper concludes with a practical example of testing web applications built using the React JS library using Selenium IDE and Cypress testing tools.
