Abstract
Evolucija je proces pri kojem se, kroz mnogo generacija, niz nasljednih osobina bioloških populacija podvrgavaju promjenama zbog prilagodbe na nove uvjete života. Svi živući organizmi još dan danas prolaze kroz evolucijske promjene. Kukci su najbrojnija skupina životinja na Zemlji i njihova povijest seže sve do prije 420 milijuna godina. Bogata nalazišta kukaca diljem svijeta potaknula su mnoge znanstvenike na dublja istraživanja povijesti te grupe životinja, od nastanka i ranih početaka razvitka pa do danas. Od fosila prvih člankonožaca do prvih letećih kukaca možemo otkriti duboku povijest života i početke leta i metamorfoze.
Abstract (english)
Evolution is a process in which, over many generations, a series of hereditary traits of biological populations undergo changes due to adaptation to new living conditions. All living organisms still go through evolutionary changes. Insects are the most numerous group of animals on Earth and their history goes back to 420 million years ago. The rich sites of insects around the world have encouraged many scientists to investigate the history of this group of animals in depth, from the origin and early beginnings of development to the present day. From the fossils of the first arthropods to the first flying insects, we can discover the deep history of life and the beginnings of flight and metamorphosis.
