Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je objasniti što je autentikacija i kako se ona izvodi. Počevši od njene definicije i pregleda razvitka kroz povijest, dolazimo do funkcionalnosti i načina izvođenja. Objašnjeni su neki od načina: autentikacija tokenom, pomoću kolačića, OpenId i OAuth, Auth0, SAML i biometrijska. Uz to su objašnjeni i pojmovi potrebni za razumijevanje procesa autentikacije: token, kolačić, sesija itd. Na kraju je prikazano kako se, neki od navedenih načina, mogu implementirati koristeći tehnologije poput Node.js-a, Expressa, MongoDB-a i Reacta.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper is to explain what authentication is and how it is performed. Starting with its definition and an overview of its development through years, we come to functionality and execution methods. Some of the methods explained are: token based and cookie based authentication, OpenID and OAuth, SAML and biometric authentication. In addition, some terms, knowledge of which is necessary to understand the process, are also explained: token, cookie, session, etc. At the end, it is shown how some of these methods can be implemented using technologies like Node.js, Express, MongoDB and React.
