Abstract
Etologija pčela ogranak je cjelokupne biologije pčela koji se bavi njihovim karakterističnim načinima ponašanja u prirodnim uvjetima. Primarni zadatak etologije je objasniti vezu između nekog ponašanja i njegova uzroka. Pčele su socijalni kukci, koji su zahvaljujući formiranju skupine s društvenom hijerarhijom i složenom podjelom poslova unutar zajednice uspjele opstati na Zemlji duže od 150 milijuna godina. Cilj ovog rada je pobliže opisati neka od karakterističnih ponašanja vrste Apis mellifera carnica te sukladno tome izvesti zaključke o ekološkoj važnosti i ulozi vrste u životima ljudi.
Abstract (english)
The ethology of bees is a branch of the entire biology of bees, which deals with their characteristic behaviors in natural conditions. The primary task of ethology is to explain the relationship between a behavior and its cause. Bees are social insects, which, thanks to the formation of a group with a social hierarchy and a division of labor within the community, have managed to survive on Earth for more than 150 million years. The aim of this paper is to describe in more detail some of the characteristic behaviors of Apis mellifera carnica and accordingly draw conclusions about the ecological importance and role of the species in human lives.
