Abstract
Lorentzov oscilator je model prikaza veze elektrona i jezgre atoma na analogan način prikazu mase na opruzi. Elektron, kao čestica male mase, vezan je ''oprugom'' za jezgru atoma koja je puno veće mase od njega. Djelovanjem vanjskog električnog polja, sila na elektron i jezgru atoma ih ''produžuje'' ili ''razvlači'' te time naš problem na atomskoj razini postaje vrlo sličan problemu mase na opruzi koji intuitivno možemo zamisliti. Hendrik Antoon Lorentz, dobitnik Nobelove nagrade za fiziku, krajem devetnaestog stoljeća formulirao je potpuno klasičan opis ovakvog modela koji je kasnije prihvaćen i u kvantnoj fizici te se kao takav i danas koristi.
Abstract (english)
The Lorentz oscillator is a model that represents the bond between an electron and the nucleus of an atom in an analogous way to representing the mass on a spring. An electron, as a particle of small mass, is bound by a "spring" to the nucleus of an atom with much greater mass. By influence of external electric field, the force on the electron and the nucleus of the atom "extends" or "stretches" them, and thus our problem at the atomic level becomes very similar to the problem of mass on a spring that we can intuitively imagine. Hendrik Antoon Lorentz, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics, in the late nineteenth century formulated a completely classical description of this model, which was later accepted in quantum physics and is still used today.
