Abstract
Asteraceae je porodica cvjetnica koja sadrži oko 23600 različitih vrsta. Ono što je zajedničko svim vrstama porodice Asteraceae je da sadrže različite sekundarne metabolite u svim dijelovima biljke. Iako različiti po svojim svojstvima i djelovanjima na biljke, svim vrstama je zajedničko da su najbitniji i najistraženiji sekundarni metaboliti flavonoidi i terpeni. Sekundarni metaboliti su organski spojevi sintetizirani sekundarnim reakcijama iz primarnih metabolita. Sekundarni metaboliti su tvari kojima vrste poput maslačka, kamilice, nevena, suncokreta i artičoke duguju svoj ljekoviti i prehrambeni značaj. Cilj rada je upoznavanje s porodicom Asteraceae, karakterističnim vrstama porodice te sekundarnim metabolitima koji se javljaju u njima.
Abstract (english)
Asteraceae is a flowering family containing about 23600 different species. Common to all species of the family Asteraceae is that they contain various secondary metabolites in all parts of the plant.Although different in their properties and effects on plants, all species have in common that the most important and most researched secondary metabolites are flavonoids and terpens.Secondary metabolites are organic compounds synthesized by secondary reactions from primary metabolites. Dandelion, chamomile, calendula, sunflower and artichoke owe their medicinal properties and nutritional value to the content of secondary metabolites. The aim of this study is to get acquainted with the Asteraceae family, charateristic species of this family and secondary metabolites that occur in them.
