Abstract
U ovom radu su dane osnove kvantne teorije polja koja se sastoji od matematičkih alata koji objedinjuju klasična polja, specijalnu teoriju relativnosti i kvantnu mehaniku. Upravo je ova teorija osnova Standardnog Modela fizike elementarnih čestica. Ovaj koncept nije jednostavan te je od pomoći imati nekakav klasični model. Stoga ćemo u prva dva poglavlja promatrati kvantno polje preko mehaničkog modela, odnosno u prvom poglavlju ćemo dati kvalitativan opis dok u drugom dajemo formalizam za jednostavni slučaj polja u jednoj dimenziji s kvantima bez mase. Zaključujemo s trećim poglavljem u kojem generaliziramo teoriju na tri dimenzije te inkorporiramo teoriju relativnosti.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis we give the basics of quantum field theory which consists of mathematical tools that combine classical fields, special theory of relativity and quantum mechanics. This theory is the basis of Standard Model of particle physics. Since this concept is fairly hard to understand, it is helpful to have some kind of a classical model first. Therefore, in the first two chapters we are going to observe the quantum field via the mechanical model, ie. in the first chapter we give a qualitative description. In the second chapter we provide formalism for a simple case of one dimensional field which consists of massless quanta. We conclude with the third chapter in which we generalize the theory to three dimensions and incorporate the theory of relativity.
