Abstract
Računalni vid se bavi teorijom izrade te samom izradom sustava koji služe pribavljanju informacija iz slike, bilo da je to iz jedne ili više fotografija, video sekvence ili medicinskih uređaja. Ljudi imaju trodimenzionalan pogled na svijet te istraživači u područjima računalnog vida paralelno razvijaju matematičke tehnike za dobivanje trodimenzionalnih oblika i pojava objekata na slikama. Detekcija je prepoznavanje specifičnog stanja. Detekcija ruke je kod računalnog vida bila predmet proučavanja dugi niz godina. Detekcija ruke na slikama i videima je i dalje velik problem zbog varijabilnosti izgleda ruke. Ruke nemaju fiksan oblik te je to teško opisati računalu. U ovom radu je ruka detektirana web kamerom. Na temelju geometrijskog modela šake izoliraju se vrhovi prstiju. Prepoznavanje pokreta omogućuje ljudima prirodnu komunikaciju i interakciju s strojevima bez mehaničkih uređaja. Lakše je pokazati rukom u monitor i pokretima ruke upravljati kursorom, nego koristiti miš i tipkovnicu. Stoga je cilj rada je bio razviti jednostavan sustav za upravljanje pokazivačem miša prepoznavanjem pokreta ruke pomoću web kamere.

Computer vision is concerned with the theory of production and the development of systems that serve the provision of information from the image, whether it is from one or more images, video sequences or medical devices. People have a three-dimensional view of the world and researchers in the areas of computer vision are developing in parallel a mathematical techniques to obtain three-dimensional shapes and the appearance of objects in the pictures. Detection is the recognition of a specific situation. The detection of the human hand is a computer vision subject of study for many years. Hands detection on pictures and videos is still a major problem due to the variability of hand appearances. Hands do not have a fixed form and that is a difficult problem to describe in a computer. In this paper, the hand is detected by a webcam. Based on the geometric model fingertips are isolated. Motion Detection allows people to naturally communicate and interact with the machines without additional mechanical devices. It is easier to point by a hand into the monitor and manage the cursor by hand movements, than to use a mouse and keyboard. Therefore the aim of the study was to develop a simple system for managing the mouse pointer by motion recognition of a hand using a webcam.
