Abstract
Predmet promatranja u ovom radu je Brownovo gibanje. Opisan je matematički izvod Brownovog gibanja, primjena te teorije u nekim realnim problemima te jedan od mnogih eksperimenata koji potvrđuju teoriju. Glavna svrha ovog rada je pobliže upoznavanje s gibanjem koje je opaženo prvenstveno od strane botaničara Browna, prema komu je dobilo i ime. Sigurno botaničar nije ni mogao zamisliti kako će ovo njegovo opažanje biti temelj teorije koja je jednom zauvijek dokazala postojanje molekula i atoma i to da će biti razrađena ni od kog drugog, nego od A. Einsteina u njegovom poznatom radu iz 1905. Iako je dokazala postojanje atoma, za razliku od mnogih teorija koje jednom korištene nemaju više svrhe, teorija Brownovog gibanja koristi se i danas, najčešće u biofizici gdje možemo vidjeti njezin potpun potencijal.
Abstract (english)
The subject of observation in this paper is Brownian motion. The mathematical outline of Brownian motion, the application of this theory in some realistic problems, and one of many experiments confirming the theory are described. The main purpose of this work is to get to know the movement that was first observed by the botanist Brown, which was named after him. Certainly the botanist could not imagine how his observation would be the basis of the theory that once for all proved the existence of molecules and atoms. The same theory was elaborated by A. Einstein in his famous work from 1905. Although Brownian motion proved the existence of atoms, unlike many theories that once used have no purpose, this theory is used today, most often in biophysics where we can see its full potential.
