Abstract
U ovom završnom radu ukratko su opisana magnetska, električna i elektronska svojstva najznačajnijih željezovih oksida hematita (\(α-Fe_{2}O_{3}\)), magnetita (\(Fe_{3}O_{4}\)) i maghemita (\(γ-Fe_{2}O_{3}\)) te željezovog oksihidroksida getita (α-FeOOH). Također, opisane su i neke od najvažnijih metoda dobivanja i karakterizacije željezovih oksida i hidroksida. U radu je opisan i utjecaj brojnih eksperimentalnih parametara kemijske sinteze (temperatura, pH vrijednost, ionska jakost, prisutnost različitih iona i površinski aktivnih tvari) na strukturna svojstva željezovih oksida i oksihidroksida. Ukratko je navedena i široka primjena željezovih oksida u biologiji, biomedicini, industriji i zaštiti okoliša.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis the magnetic, electrical and electron properties of the most significant iron oxides hematite (\(α-Fe_{2}O_{3}\)), magnetite (\(Fe_{3}O_{4}\)) and maghemite (\(γ-Fe_{2}O_{3}\)) as well as iron oxyhydroxide getit (α-FeOOH) were described. Also, some of the most important methods of synthesis and characterization of iron oxides and hydroxides have been described. The influence of numerous experimental parameters (temperature, pH value, ionic strength, presence of different ions and surfactant) that significantly affect the structural properties of iron oxides and oxyhydroxides was studied. Numerous applications of iron oxides in biology, biomedicine, industry and environmental protection were mentioned.
