Abstract
Kvaterni fosfonijevi spojevi su amfifilni spojevi, izuzetnih svojstava i širokog raspona primjene. Unatoč dugoj povijesti primjene u organskoj sintezi i katalizi, odlikuju se antimikrobnom aktivnosti širokog spektra. Zbog razvoja nepoželjne bakterijske rezistencije na komercijalne antiseptike, ovi spojevi se razmatraju kao potencijalna sljedeća generacija antiseptika. Trifenilfosfonijeve kvaterne soli su izrazito stabilni kvaterni fosfonijevi spojevi, s antimikrobnom aktivnosti koja... More nadmašuje njihove komercijalne analoge. U ovom radu su novosintetizirane trifenilfosfonijeve soli analizirane UV/VIS spektrofotometrijom, u svrhu određivanja koncentracije istih u nepoznatom uzorku. Dobiveni apsorpcijski spektri i baždarne krivulje poštuju očekivane zakonitosti čime je potvrđena i efikasnost UV/VIS spektroskopije za određivanje ovih spojeva. Less
Abstract (english)
Quaternary phosphonium compounds are amphiphilic compounds with exceptional properties and a wide range of applications. Despite their long history of application in organic synthesis and catalysis, they are characterized by broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity. Due to the development of bacterial resistance to commercial antiseptics, these compounds are being considered as potential next generation antiseptics. Triphenylphosphonium quaternary salts are extremely stable quaternary... More phosphonium compounds, with antimicrobial activity that surpasses their commercial analogues. In this study, newly synthesized triphenylphosphonium salts were analyzed by UV/VIS spectrophotometry, in order to determine their concentrations in an unknown sample. The obtained absorption spectra and calibration curves respect the expected regularities, thus confirming the effectiveness of UV/VIS spectroscopy for the determination of these compounds. Less
