Abstract
Svaki materijal određen je svojom dimenzijom te svojim optičkim svojstvima - koeficijentima apsorpcije, koficijentima raspršenja i anizotropnim faktorom. Cilj ovog rada je simulirati prolazak svjetlosti, odnosno fotona, kroz dva sloja materijala. Tijekom prolaska kroz materijal, fotoni mogu interagirati s atomima materijala tako da se transmitiraju, rasprše ili apsorbiraju. Pomoću Monte Carlo simulacije generiramo nasumičan slobodan put paketa fotona, te računamo vrijednosti transmisije i difuzne refleksije. Transmisija i difuzna refleksija s povećanjem broja fotona u paketu pokazuju oscilirajuće ponašanje prije konvergencije u stabilne vrijednosti. Putanja fotona odražava stohastičku prirodu simulacije. Promjenom debljinom materijala transmisija se ponaša u skladu s Beer-Lamberovim zakonom, a difuzna refleksija pokazuje konvergirajuće ponašanje. Simulacija je primjenjiva na razne probleme u fizici, medicini i ostalim srodnim znanostima, jer daje dobar uvid u ponašanje fotona pri prolasku kroz slojevite strukture.
Abstract (english)
Each material is defined by its dimensions and optical properties - absorption coefficients, scattering coefficients, and anisotropic factor. The aim of this paper is to simulate the passage of light, or photons, through two layers of material. During their passage through the material, photons can interact with the atoms of the material by transmitting, scattering, or absorbing. Using Monte Carlo simulation, we generate a random free path of a photon packet and calculate the values of transmission and diffuse reflection. As the number of photons in the packet increases, transmission and diffuse reflection exhibit oscillatory behavior before converging to stable values. The path of photons reflects the stochastic nature of the simulation. By varying the thickness of the material, transmission behaves according to the Beer-Lambert law, while diffuse reflection shows convergent behavior. This simulation is applicable to various problems in physics, medicine, and other related sciences, as it provides a good insight into the behavior of photons as they pass through layered structures.
