Abstract
Cilj završnog rada je istražiti autentifikaciju kao ključan aspekt informatičke sigurnosti te pružiti jednostavnije i dublje razumijevanje važnosti ovog procesa. Rad započinje od povijesti i definicije autentifikacije, nakon čega se razmatraju vrste autentifikacije, njihova razina sigurnosti i način rada, prednosti i mane autentifikacije te naposljetku mogućnost primjene autentifikacije u web aplikacijama.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze authentication as a fundamental aspect of IT security and to provide a simpler and deeper understanding of the importance of this process. The work begins with the history and definition of authentication, followed by the types of authentication and their security level and mode of operation, advantages and disadvantages of authentication and finally the possibility of applying authentication in web applications.
