Abstract
Cilj ovoga rada je ispitati i analizirati spolne i dobne razlike u doživljavanju pozitivnih i negativnih emocija u praktičnoj i teorijskoj nastavi tehničke kulture. U ovom istraživanju sudjelovalo je 257 učenika od 5. do 8. razreda dviju osnovnih škola. Za potrebe ovog istraživanja kreiran je anketni upitnik koji je sadržavao pitanja o spolu, razredu, uspjehu koji očekuju na kraju školske godine iz tehničke kulture, zatim skalu pozitivnih i negativnih emocija i skalu kvalitete života u školi. Analiza podataka nije pokazala statistički značajne razlike između djevojčica i dječaka, kao ni između učenika različitih razreda, u pogledu doživljavanja pozitivnih i negativnih emocija u praktičnom radu i teorijskoj nastavi tehničke kulture. Na temelju dobivenih rezultata zaključujemo da bi nastavnici trebali kombinirati predavanja i teorijske koncepte s praktičnim radom, kao što su eksperimenti, radionice ili projekti, kako bi učenicima omogućili praktičnu primjenu naučenih znanja i stjecanje vještina. Također, potrebno je stvoriti poticajno okruženje koje promiče suradnju i interakciju među učenicima, kako bi se potaknula njihova motivacija i angažiranost. Ove prilagodbe u nastavi mogu pozitivno utjecati na učenike, potičući njihovu zainteresiranost, samopouzdanje i razvoj pozitivnih emocija prema STEM području.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study is to examine and analyze gender and age differences in the experience of positive and negative emotions in practical and theoretical classes of technical culture. The study involved 257 students from grades 5 to 8 in two elementary schools. For this research, a questionnaire was created, which included items regarding gender, grade level, expected performance in technical culture at the end of the school year, as well as scales measuring positive and negative emotions and the quality of school life. Based on the obtained results, we conclude that teachers should combine lectures and theoretical concepts with practical work, such as experiments, workshops, or projects, to enable students to apply the learned knowledge and acquire skills. Also, it is necessary to create a stimulating environment that promises cooperation and interaction among students, to encourage their motivation and engagement. These adjustments in teaching can have a positive effect on students, encouraging their interest, confidence, and the development of positive emotions towards the STEM field.
