Abstract
Ovaj rad bavi se analizom metoda za odabir paketa unutar PTP sustava. To su metode: maksimuma, minimuma, aritmetičke sredine, medijana i moda. Odabrani paketi izravno utječu na kvalitetu mreže, stoga je bitno medu najčešće korištenim metodama odrediti onu koja je najbolje prilagođena različitim mrežnim uvjetima. Analiza metoda provedena je u simulatoru razvijenom u programskom okruženju MATLAB. U svim testovima, metode odabira srednjih vrijednosti pokazale su bolje rezultate u odnosu na metode minimuma i maksimuma. Osim toga, među metodama odabira srednjih vrijednosti istaknuli su se rezultati metode moda. Prepoznata je potreba za daljnjim ispitivanjem utjecaja dodatnog konfiguracijskog parametra te metode - broj spremnika - na stabilnost odabranih paketa.
Abstract (english)
This paper analyzes methods for packet selection within the PTP system. These are the methods of: maximum, minimum, arithmetic mean, median and mode. The selected packages directly affect the quality of the network, so it is important to determine among the most commonly used methods the one that is best adapted to different network conditions. The analysis of the methods was performed in a simulator developed in the MATLAB programming environment. In all tests, the mean value selection methods showed better results compared to the minimum and maximum methods. In addition, among the methods of selecting mean values, the results of the mode method stood out. The need for further examination of the impact of an additional configuration parameter of that method - the number of bins - on the stability of the selected packages was recognized.
