Abstract
Solarno ultraljubičasto zračenje ima veliki biološki utjecaj na čovjeka. Duljim izlaganjem tom zračenju povećava se rizik razvijanja ozbiljnih posljedica na zdravlje čovjeka. Kako bi se spriječila moguća šteta, naglašava se potreba za dodatnom zaštitom, između ostalog, pomoću sredstava za zaštitu od sunca. To su uglavnom kozmetički proizvodi s organskim i anorganskim kemijskim UV filterima. Dio ljudi odbacuje učinkovitost tih proizvoda ili sumnja u štetnost njihovih sastojaka te se okreću zamjenama prirodnog podrijetla. U ovom radu ispitali smo svojstvo apsorbiranja UV zračenja različitih sredstava za zaštitu od sunca te pokazali efikasnost proizvoda s kemijskim filterima i nezamjenjivost istih s prirodnim alternativama. Za potrebe mjerenja proučili smo i koristili spektrofotometar photoLab 6600 UV-VIS.
Abstract (english)
Solar ultraviolet radiation has a great biological impact on humans. A prolonged exposure to this kind of radiation increases the risk of developing serious consequences for health. In order to prevent possible damage, the need for additional protection by means of sunscreen is emphasized. These are mainly cosmetic products with organic and inorganic chemical UV filters. Some people reject the fact that these products are effective or doubt the safety of their ingredients and use substitutes of natural origin instead. In this thesis, we examined the UV absorption properties of various sunscreens and showed the efficiency of products with chemical filters and their irreplaceability with natural alternatives. For measurement purposes, we studied and used the photoLab 6600 UV-VIS spectrophotometer.
