Abstract
Cilj ovoga završnog rada je analiza dimera helija Numerovim algoritmom. Upoznajemo se s različitim modelima potencijala kojima se vežu dva atoma helija, te rješavamo Schrödingerovu jednadžbu za taj slučaj. Zbog kompleksnosti problema (diferencijalne jednadžbe) rješavanje provodimo numeričkim putem gdje se koristimo Numerovim algoritmom, a kako je problem kvantne prirode i znamo da sustav može imati samo određene svojstvene vrijednosti valne funkcije i energije, koristimo metodu pogađanja i usklađivanja (eng. shooting i matching) za dobivanje istih. Potom uspoređujemo dobivene rezultate s onim eksperimentalnim te procjenjujemo kako različite promjene parametara utječu na ukupno rješenje.
Abstract (english)
The goal of this thesis is to analyze helium dimer by Numerov algorithm. We come across different types of potentials linking two helium atoms and solve Schrödinger's equation for that case. Because of the complexity of the problem (differential equation) we solve the problem numerically where we use the Numerov algorithm, and because it is the quantum mechanics problem we know that the system can have only specific eigenvalues of wave function and energy, and that’s why we use the shooting and matching method for obtaining it. Then we compare the results obtained with one’s from the experiment and describe how different parameters affects the total solution.
