Abstract
Razvoj softvera je dinamičan proces s puno pokretnih dijelova i zahtjeva koji se razvijaju i mijenjaju tijekom vremena. Aplikacija se najčešće izrađuje koristeći puno apstrakcija i nitko u potpunosti ne razumije kako svaki sloj funkcionira već se samo pokušavamo pobrinuti da nam kôd odgovara zahtjevima proizvoda. Budući da se zahtjevi često mijenjaju, potrebno je napisati testove koji će nas na vrijeme upozoriti na nove pogreške i nedostatke. Testovi su jednako važni za zdravlje projekta kao i proizvodni kod. Zapravo, možda su nam oni još i važniji, jer testovi čuvaju i povećavaju fleksibilnost, održivost i ponovnu upotrebu proizvodnog koda. Ovaj rad ukazuje na važnost provođenja testova i nastoji ukazati na potrebu za testiranjem softvera u njegovom razvoju. Prikazan je životni ciklus razvoja i testiranja softvera, te različite metode i razine testiranja. Rad završava s praktičnim primjerom testiranja web aplikacije napravljene pomoću React JavaScript biblioteke koristeći Jest i Enzyme biblioteke za testiranje.
Abstract (english)
Software development is a dynamic process with a lot of moving parts and requirements that evolve and change over time. The application is most often created using a lot of abstractions and no one fully understands how each layer works. We just try to make sure that the code meets our product requirements. Since the requirements change frequently, it is necessary to write tests that will warn us in time of new errors and shortcomings. Tests are as important to the health of a project as the production code is. Perhaps they are even more important, because tests preserve and enhance the flexibility, maintainability, and reusability of the production code. This thesis points out the importance of conducting tests and seeks to point out the need to test software in its development. The life cycle of software development and testing is presented, as well as different testing methods and levels. The dissertation ends with a practical example of a web application testing made using the React JavaScript library and the help of Jest and Enzyme testing frameworks.
